Korea!

After a long flight I finally arrived in Korea. The airport was hard to navigate, so I had to follow people from my flight. It was totally fine getting through immigration and customs, the officials didn't even ask me any questions! I almost didn't find my bags, but luckily I later got all of them.

It definitely was colder than I expected. It is a totally different climate from where I live, I'm not used to snow! But the city was so cool, when we entered Gangnam, there were so many colored lights. It's a super lively place. There are so many cute shops and actually a lot of American restaurants like Starbucks, Subway, Smoothie King, Coldstone, The Coffee Bean, and 7 Eleven. This morning I went to the Coffee Bean and got a Vanilla Latte (Luckily there was English on the menu) but it was actually kind of expensive for coffee!! Oh well, I needed something to warm me up.

Then when I got back to the apartment, I couldn't get in. :( I thought I knew the code, but I had it wrong. It's all good now though.

It's definitely hard for me, because I do miss my family. I skyped them, but wish I could've talked longer. It's hard with the language barrier, and my roommates have accents that can sometimes be hard to understand. I definitely is hard when you have nothing that is recognizable. Even the American restaurants like Subway have Koreans working there who only know a little English. That is definitely hard to get through but I'm sure I will get used to it eventually. I think I am just tired. Plus it is my first day, I'll just take it one day at a time.

I have a casting today that I am excited about. It is my first one, so I'll have to see how it goes, but I can't wait to start modeling. That's what I came here for right? I think once I start doing some jobs it'll be really fun. Hopefully this trip will get me more pictures to add to my portfolio, so instead of going to Korea, I could to L.A. or New York to model! I just gotta stay positive and keep on keeping on. I saw a quote on tumblr that said, "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor." It's so true, if this was easy, I wouldn't get anything out of it. So I'll work hard and try my best!
